Back to the origin and green evolution

Visionnaire 2017 collection aims at pursuing a Green evolution, a feature increasingly requested by the market of luxury goods. This aspect will be scanned deeply by means of a spectacular installation held at the Fuori Salone, named “Cosmical”. The goal: reflecting on the origins of the world and primary materials, employed for the creation of a capsule collection inspired to green philosophy, and exhibited inside the showroom in Cavour square. This collection proposes the same design of the products displayed in the fair, deliberately proposed in a second eco-friendly version.
Visionnaire research and development department has started to develop this eco-sustainability feature starting from those products which are closely in contact with the person, first of all sofas and beds, made by alternative materials with low environmental impact. The wood used for the construction of beds and sofa structures is supplied by companies, which are part of certified production chains, that is, plantations with vegetable restocking system. The selected trees are cut the correct age, and then they are replanted. Regarding suspension systems, we have preferred jute, abandoning elastic straps petroleum-based; padding is produced by means of a plant-based leavening process. Furthermore, Visionnaire respects the animal world: this is the reason why it chooses feathers of animals already destined for slaughter, thus avoiding causing them unnecessary sufferings. As replacement for feather, we chose materials such as hemp, cotton, wool,
remy, kapock, already used in the past for padding of throw cushions, and seed padding (millet, flax) for pillows. Concerning upholstery, the new collection uses fabrics in natural fibers derived from flax, wool, cotton, Remy, or other fibers, processed according to a controlled weaving process through precise protocols identified with acronym, and employs natural dyes and tints derived from plants. For leather, we have abandoned those treated with chrome tanning (white-blue), in favor of tanning without chemical or metallic additives, only made with vegetable dyes (white-white)
